After enjoying Niseko’s powder snow, a Russian-made banya (sauna) is an exceptional way to enjoy a hot steam bath even in an environment of -30℃.
Banya Japan, an importer and distributor of tent banya from Russia, offers a new way to enjoy Niseko in winter.
Enjoy a hot steam bath in the snowy mountains, a chill space, and a whisking treatment for a world of deep relaxation that goes beyond “Toto Noi”.

Whisking
Wisking is a sauna treatment that has been handed down from generation to generation in Russia and the Baltic States, in which the body is warmed and tapped using vichita, a bundle of branches and leaves of birch, oak, and other trees.
Surrounded by the scent and texture of the vichita, the five senses are stimulated, and the effect is to promote blood circulation and regulate the autonomic nervous system.
Using the whisking techniques learned in the real Russia, we offer a deep relaxation that goes far beyond the treatment.
Whisking Master
Nevanya / Yoichi Nebata
Born in Ishikawa Prefecture. Formerly worked at Mitsui for 10 years, and lived in Russia for 4 years. He runs an online Russian language school. In March 2021, he established Banya Japan Co., Ltd. to import and sell Russian tent banya Terma. He was the first Japanese to perform whisking at the national whisking competition in Russia at Vanya Fest in Moscow in July 2021. He is currently working to spread Russian banya culture and whisking in Japan by managing banya and whisking at events such as NIKKEI INNOVATIVE SAUNA, a sauna event sponsored by Nikkei, “Lakeside Time” at Lake Shirakaba in Nagano Prefecture, and Aufgussfest 2021.

Tent sauna rental: 11,000 yen per group for 90 minutes
Whisking Retreat: 5,000 yen per person for 30 minutes
What to bring

Rental towels are available for an additional 500 yen per person.

We will ask you to sign the tent sauna agreement before the day of use.

- Please wear a bathing suit when you use the sauna.
